Attwells Solicitors is celebrating a trio of national recognitions that highlight the firm’s dual focus on people and clients. The firm has secured three major honours: a regional apprenticeship award, a place in the prestigious Legal 500 guide, and shortlisting in the Modern Law Conveyancing Awards.
At yesterday’s National Apprenticeship & Skills Awards in Cambridge, Attwells was named SME Apprenticeship Employer of the Year, recognising the firm’s innovative approach to developing legal talent.
Over the past five years, Attwells has welcomed more than 20 apprentices, many of whom have advanced from entry-level roles to qualified fee-earners in conveyancing and commercial law.
Founder Nick Attwells said: “Our mission has always been to make law more accessible. Watching our apprentices grow into confident, qualified professionals is not only rewarding but also vital for the future strength of the firm.”
Earlier this week, Attwells’ Employment Law team secured a ranking in The Legal 500 South East, one of the industry’s most respected independent directories. The guide praised the team’s “invaluable” advice under the leadership of Partner and Head of Employment Law Lloyd Clarke, described as “professional and personable.”
Nick Attwell added: “Being featured in The Legal 500 is an honour that reflects our team’s dedication to delivering practical, client-focused solutions. It demonstrates that even as a regional firm, our work meets the highest national standards.”
The listing reinforces Attwells’ growing reputation in employment law, with expertise spanning tribunal representation, redundancies and settlement agreements.
Rounding out a remarkable week, Attwells has been named a finalist in the 2025 LEAP Modern Law Conveyancing Awards, shortlisted in two categories, Outstanding Commitment to Training recognising its pioneering apprenticeship and staff development programmes and Client Care Award, honouring its dedication to delivering exceptional service throughout the conveyancing process.
Partner and Head of Conveyancing Laura Catania said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted in these two categories. Our team works tirelessly to ensure every client feels supported and confident throughout their legal journey. By continually training our staff, we make sure our service is not only effective but also empathetic and up to date.”
The winners will be announced later this year at a gala ceremony, where Attwells’ team will celebrate alongside industry peers.
These recognitions follow previous accolades, including the Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award, and reflect Attwells’ consistent track record in both client service and staff development. Nick Attwells concluded: “It’s been a remarkable year for Attwells. Each honour – whether for our training programmes or our client care – proves that investing in people is the key to success. We are proud to share these milestones with our staff and clients, who remain at the heart of everything we do.”
