Attwells Solicitors, property law and conveyancing experts based in Ipswich, are supporting the Ipswich Food Bank (FIND) this December with the donation of food gifts for those using the Food Bank over festive period.
The team at Attwells visited FIND to deliver the food gifts, which consist of a selection box and festive food such as biscuit selections and Christmas puddings. These will be handed out to local people who will be turning to the Food Bank this Christmas to help them through the festive season.
FIND is a vital lifeline for those in crisis, providing emergency food and support to local people who have been referred to them when they suddenly find themselves unable to put food on the table and to support their family. This is often those who have recently experienced redundancy or financial issues. Having access to some basic provisions can help prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems and help get them back on their feet.
FIND can only able to provide support to these individuals through donations of food from local businesses, schools, churches and the local community.
Attwells is committed to supporting a variety of local charities, with the team also taking part in Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Headway Essex and has also made donated to the Colchester Food Bank.
Nick Attwell said: “At this festive time when we are all busy it is important to find the time to help others. The work that FIND do is absolutely crucial and relied upon by many people who have fallen on hard times. This Attwells initiative has come from the Ipswich team who recognise just how important FIND’s work is and I am incredibly proud to support it.”
Attwells will also be launching a new initiative across all offices on 23rd December called Jargon Free Law, in which they commit to breaking down the legal barriers and providing clear and jargon free advice for the local community.
