Nick Attwell
Managing Partner & Solicitor
Head of Commerical Law
I am the founder of Attwells Solicitors and Managing Partner. I have a Master of Laws from Cambridge University and am a published academic author. I worked in the city at one of the largest international law firms before forming Attwells.
I am an alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10KSB fastest growing businesses programme.
I share my time between Attwells’ four offices in Ipswich, Colchester, London and Woodbridge.
I am a commercial lawyer with particular expertise in commercial property and land development. My clients range from local SMEs to larger national clients and FTSE 250 companies.
Clients value my strategic thinking, ability to explain complex legal principles in plain English, and energetic approach to their matters.

Nick is responsible for Attwells strategic direction and growth goals whilst protecting its unique culture and purpose.
Day to day Nick has responsibility for Finance and the delivery in conjunction with the Heads of the Legal Departments of our measurable excellent legal advice and client service.
Nick is also Senior Partner and chairs the monthly partnership meetings.
Specialisms – Commercial Law with a particular emphasis on commercial property and property development.

Hobbies and interests – I enjoy spending time with my children and playing badminton.

Attwells Corporate and Commercial team recently completed a share sale transaction in the recruitment sector. The value of the transaction was over a million pounds and the matter involved a deferred payment structure. The matter involved corporate due diligence, Share Purchase Agreement, Disclosure Letter and bundle and ancillary documentation.
Attwells Corporate and Commercial team recently completed an asset sale transaction in the pet products sector. The matter involved a complex unconventional deferred payment structure over 3 years including reductions/adjustments in instalments based on net sales figures. The matter involved corporate due diligence, Asset Purchase Agreement, Disclosure Letter and bundle and ancillary documentation.
